“Even water felt like it was burning my face. I was taking the medications prescribed for me, but my Rosacea was continuing to get worse. As I struggled to find a way to heal my Rosacea I found Osmosis Skincare. Within 1 week, it no longer burned and in less than a month, the majority of my Rosacea was gone.”
We all have skin, but most of us take it for granted. Although the skin is our body’s largest organ, we rarely think of it as having a major role in our health. Most people do not think to take care of it like we would our heart, liver, or other organs. Yet, it is vital to our very survival. Each layer of skin performs specific functions that help cover and protect our bodies. This amazing organ not only helps regulate body temperature, it excretes waste and toxins, facilitates vitamin D synthesis, and provides us with the wonderful sense of touch.
Skin is the first defense of our immune system. Its acidic outer barrier keeps bacteria and other foreign invaders at bay. It is important to have and maintain a healthy skin barrier. Skin plays an important role in protecting the body from various kinds of damage, such as water loss or abrasion from the outside. Our skin is truly amazing. Damaged skin can heal itself. Even severely damaged skin will try to heal by forming scar tissue.
Sadly, this amazing organ is generally only thought of in terms of beauty. Because of this, it is often abused as we try to force it to do what we want it to do or make it look like we think it should look. In our quest for beauty many people scrape, laser, or use acids to burn away its protective acid mantle in hopes of forcing it to rejuvenate quicker, forcing “newer / younger” skin to the surface.
For the past 30+ years the skin care industry has been working according to this theory: If we exfoliate or remove the outer layers of the skin, we will force it to regenerate faster pushing newer cells to the top. The ultimate goal is to force the collagen layer to rebuild and plump. (The deterioration of the collagen layer is what causes our skin to sag creating wrinkles.)
With the advancements in science, we now know what is really happening. The skin is in trauma mode. The collagen layer cannot reproduce in this state because the skin is too busy repairing the damage we are causing. It needs to have 15 layers of cells in the outer epidermis in order to function properly, protecting us from bacteria and other foreign invaders that cause free radical damage like pollution and UV rays. So while exfoliation does force cells to move up it does so at the cost of causing the lower collagen layers to inflame and not reproduce. When the inflammation subsides our collagen layer is even thinner than before causing our skin to wrinkle and age at an accelerated rate.
The only way to help the skin create more collagen is by protecting the outer barrier so the skin can concentrate on building rather than repairing. Our skin also needs to be fed particular nutrients in order to produce more collagen. It cannot make collagen without all the proper ingredients.
This is what makes our products different. We use an inside-out approach, focusing on repairing the skin barrier and feeding it all those great ingredients it needs to heal and build collagen.
Simply Healthy Skin has chosen to partner with Roccoco Botanicals & Osmosis Skincare Products because they have been clinically proven as natural solutions. They understand how our skin functions and work with its natural ability to repair itself.
Osmosis is one of the most scientifically advanced skincare lines available not just because of their remarkable technology but also the fact that their exclusive, patented approach works in partnership with the skin.
One of the most critical aspects of the process of skin rejuvenation is picking the right target. Our ability to address the source of skin conditions is what sets us apart. This is where “holistic therapies rooted in science” was born. Osmosis treats the body as a whole because we understand the connection between the skin and other organs as well as immune system health. Our bodies operate as one unit and it is not efficient or effective to damage or interfere with one aspect of cellular health in order to make gains elsewhere.
Most skincare does not work because it never makes it to the deep epidermis/dermis layer. Osmosis uses the same technology as pharmaceutical companies, highly purified, non-gmo phosphatidylcholine liposomes formed in high compression devices to achieve a research-proven 600% increase in ingredient delivery.
All of our cells have zinc fingers working to repair damaged DNA. Osmosis’ Zinc Finger Technology provides the precursors of zinc fingers in a way that kick-starts the body’s repair systems. It is the first visibly evident DNA repair strategy because of the wound repair that ensues after application.
AC-11 has been shown in human, animal and in-vitro studies to increase DNA repair by up to 40%. This specialized extract of Cat’s Claw contains a class of patented compounds called (Carboxy Alky Esters). In over 30 clinical and scientific research and peer-reviewed articles, these actives have shown anti-inflammatory properties, immune system enhancement along with the multiple therapeutic values of DNA repair. Moreover, Optigenex Inc. the manufacturers and patent holders of ac-11®, utilize a specialized extraction methodology is known as molecular sieving to remove all the heavy weighted molecules above 10,000 Daltons including but not limited to; alkaloids and tannins. By removing what is commonly referred to among researchers as the (noise) the result is a bio-available extract that is readily absorbed through the large intestine for the maximum therapeutic benefit.
Collagen made through damaging the skin is always utilized to repair the newfound damage and never used to add to the dermis. Osmosis developed a unique strategy that combines liposome delivered retinaldehyde, which unlike Retin A, stimulates 1000 times more collagen than retinol without inflaming the skin. We combine this with research proven (non-traumatic) collagen stimulators such as liposomal asiaticoside, chlorella, 1,3 beta glucan, hydroxyproline, niacinamide, and r-lipoic acid.
Our skin suffers a decline in circulation each year of our adult life. This reduces the overall food supply of the skin and clearly limits the healing potential and performance of the many skin systems. This is the reason epidermal turnover slows as we age. Liposomal niacinamide gently and effectively dilates dermal blood vessels while stem cell-derived growth factors and 1,3 beta glucan-recruited macrophages increase angiogenesis (new blood vessel development) increasing nutrition to the skin.
The latest advancement in stem cell-derived growth factors is here. Osmosis has exclusive formulas that contain growth factors with exosomes. Exosomes are stem cell-derived coats of armor that protect the life of the GF’s. More importantly, however, they also act like a liposome in that they have peptide activators on the outside of the cell to maximize receptor activation. This product was proven to be more efficacious than the leading growth factor serums in a head-to-head comparison.
